Her expressive lips were covered with red lipstick, and her cheeks powdered with pink. Black straight hair lopped to her waist. Nails painted red, and sexy fishnet stockings adorned her legs. Wearing a short dress she was sitting in front of me, crossed her legs and asked:\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cDo you think that I\u2019m attractive to men?\u201d This question was completely honest.<\/p><p>I thought: Attractive? Bit of an understatement. That was her dilemma and it was causing her to pose in a more alluring posture.<\/p><p>\u201cWhat of you? What do you see looking at the mirror? Are you pretty? What do you think?\u201d I asked.\u00a0<\/p><p>She tilted her head to the left, blinking, a sign of thinking.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cI don\u2019t really know,\u201d she paused. \u201cSometimes I feel good in my body, and sometimes I hate it. A voice behind me says that I\u2019m ugly, or at most average.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cIs that the reason for your style?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to be average\u201d she answered.<\/p><p>\u201cBut you want to be respected?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cEveryone does.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cHave you ever pondered over that voice coming from behind you, saying that you\u2019re average, not attractive? I think that\u2019s the reason why you try to prove that\u2019s not true.\u201d I pointed out the real problem.\u00a0<\/p><p>She straightened up changing her pose.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d she said calmly. \u201cBut I really want to understand that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p>I don\u2019t believe that parents and the way we were raised are responsible for all our problems in adulthood. But going back to our past is often helpful.\u00a0<\/p><p>There\u2019s just one rule. We don\u2019t recall our childhood to feel sorry for ourselves or to blame somebody, because it\u2019s immature. We\u2019re adults; responsible for our life.\u00a0<\/p><p>We go back in time only for locating the source of our pain in order to deal with the problem. We need healing once and for all. That\u2019s why I asked:<\/p><p>\u201cHow were your relations with your father?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cWell,\u201d she started thinking, \u201cquite poor. We didn\u2019t talk too much. He didn\u2019t show concern for my life, and we didn\u2019t spend time together. He did nothing bad, but nothing good either.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p>It\u2019s interesting how important the role a father plays in the world of boys, but it\u2019s much more surprising that in a world of girls too! Sadly, the majority fail totally; fathers just do nothing, neither good, nor bad.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0\u201cDo you remember anything particular that happened between you?\u201d I asked.<\/p><p>\u201cI can recall one sentence he\u2019d said.\u201d She frowned. \u201cAnd you know what? There was nothing special in his words, but it hurt me badly. I feel like it settled in me, though, I don\u2019t know why.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cCould you describe the circumstances of this situation?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cI was going to hang out with my friends. A party, I guess. I spent a lot of time preparing, doing my makeup, and so on. I felt like a top model, proud of myself.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cHow old were you?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure, fifteen or sixteen.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cAnd what happened?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cI was so excited. I ran to my father and asked if he liked my appearance.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cWhat did he say?\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cUm, yeah, he said: \u2018Well, you won\u2019t become a model.\u2019\u201d Telling it made her sad.<\/p><p>Indeed, a father must know and sense the highlights of his son\u2019s or daughter\u2019s life. Key moments which create their self-esteem and their way of thinking.\u00a0<\/p><p>If you\u2019re a father, you must learn to discern these special moments in your child\u2019s transformation to an adult. You must \u2018certify\u2019 that they reached this stage of their lives. If you don\u2019t do that, you hurt them for long time, and they could be nursing their wound for years.\u00a0<\/p><p>When Adam saw Eve created from his rib, he started to jump and shout joyfully. He was dazed by her beauty. God blessed them. Eve had the right to feel pretty and loved. She didn\u2019t have to prove anything to anyone.\u00a0<\/p><p>If you\u2019re a father, show your child that he or she is someone special.
